Maghull Developments secures six lettings in Liverpool’s Hahnemann Building

MAGHULL Developments has secured six lettings at the Hahnemann Building, in Liverpool’s Hope Street.

The company acquired the building, part of a portfolio of properties, from the University of Liverpool in 2007.

Last year, it gained planning permission to turn it into a boutique hotel, although worsening economic conditions forced the firm to put the scheme on hold for at least two years.

Maghull is now instead marketing the office space in the building to small firms on short-term lets, particularly targeting businesses in the creative sector.

The latest lettings are to Antonia Garcia Architects, Lawn Creative, Hope Street Holistic Clinic, Wade Smith Fashion Design, Gee Squared Architects and Blackstone Property.

They have collectively taken 6,000 sq ft of office space.

Andrew Owen, from Mason Owen, the agents acting for the building, said: “The Hahnemann Building, at 42, Hope Street, is an impressive business base which offers good value, lease flexibility and a great location.

“At the heart of the city’s art and culture quarter and close to the universities, accommodation within, the Hahnemann is available on an all-inclusive easy-in, easy-out basis.

“Maghull believes this makes it a particularly attractive proposition for start-ups and creative businesses.” The all-inclusive rents include service charge, rates and bills.

Available on flexible, short-term lettings for periods of one to 18 months, suites are still available from 400 sq ft to 2,500 sq ft.

The building includes basement storage and managed work space and studios.

Contract parking is available, and Hope Street and the surrounding areas provide on-street parking.

Earlier this year, five other creative businesses moved into The Hahnemann Building.

They included Gabrielle Walker Interior Design and Best English Language Tuition.
