DANISH former Liverpool midfield dynamo Jan Molby will be guest of honour at the NSPCC’s 10th annual Sporting Lunch, at the Hilton Hotel, Liverpool One, tomorrow.
The event is in aid of the children’s charity’s Safe Place Appeal in Merseyside.
The former Danish International will speak after the lunch, which last year raised more than £17,000. Jan, 47, will talk about his 28-year career in football.
He signed for LFC in 1984 and scored a total of 62 goals, of which 42 were from penalties (a club record) in more than 200 league appearances.
He was an integral part of the "Dynamite" Danish international side which lit up the 1984 European Championship and 1986 World Cup. Stuart Hall, the veteran Radio Five Live football reporter and former It’s A Knockout presenter, will host the lunch and conduct the prize auction.
