A “CREEPING” optimism among UK consumers is absent across the North West, says a report by information group Experian for online payment service PayPal.
Nationally, 19% of consumers are treating themselves more compared with six months ago, against 13% of North West shoppers.
North West consumers are also slightly less optimistic than the rest of the nation – 47% compared with 51%. However, 18% in the North West plan to improve the quality of goods bought, compared with 16% nationally.
