AN HOTEL serving Liverpool John Lennon airport has been singled out by business guests in a top 10 ranking of the best for service.
The Express by Holiday Inn John Lennon airport site is the only two-star hotel to make the list following a poll by corporate and private users of online hotel reservation service, hotel.info.
It is based on guest reviews by business travellers using price and service provided as the main criteria.
Hotel.info is an international reservation service listing more than 210,000 hotels worldwide.
Unsurprisingly, the table of top 10 British business hotels where frequent travellers choose to stay is topped by the four-star Hilton London Canary Wharf, which achieved a guest rating of 8.5 out of 10.
Second was the Novotel in Paddington (8.5), followed by the Hilton London Tower Bridge (8.2) – all four star hotels.
In fact, only three of the 10 are situated outside London, in Birmingham (ninth), Bristol (10th) and Liverpool’s Express by Holiday Inn which attracted a guest rating of 8.1 out of 10, despite it’s two-star status.
The 100-room Express by Holiday Inn Liverpool John Lennon airport was opened in October 2006 and is part of Peel Leisure, whose parent company owns the airport.
