Royal Mail takes warehouse space at Harrington Building in Liverpool

ROYAL MAIL has taken occupation of 22,800 sq ft of industrial space at South Harrington Building, Brunswick Business Park, in Liverpool.

It will use the facility to assist in its sorting and distribution operation.

The choice of location follows an extensive search by Royal Mail for a suitable base which will complement its existing facilities.

South Harrington Building was formerly a Victorian dock warehouse restored in the 1980s by the Merseyside Development Corporation.

The development, which comprises warehouse/light industrial units and office space, has undergone a complete makeover and refurbishment by owners Commercial Estates Group.

Nick Harrop, partner at joint agents Hitchcock Wright & Partners, said: “Since the refurbishment and re-launch of South Harrington Building, demand for units has been extremely strong. Commercial Estates Group has refurbished the building to an extremely high standard.”

Matthews & Goodman is the other joint agent.
