DEVELOPER St Modwen has secured a 68,315 sq ft letting at Cromwell Road in Ellesmere Port.
Wooden packaging and pallet supply company Northern Case Supplies has signed a 15-year lease on the building which will house its manufacturing, reconditioning and storage facilities.
Regeneration specialist St Modwen acquired the site, adjacent to Ellesmere Port town centre, from Geo Scott & Co in 2008. Since then it has worked with the local authority to bring forward a mixed-use development for the remaining 18 acres, which includes the adjacent former HH Robertson site.
St Modwen regional director, Michelle Taylor said: “To secure a letting to a well established company is great news for this site as it provides vitally important jobs in the town.
“We are exploring options for different uses on the balance of the site with Cheshire West Council and are keen to increase our investment in this key site which is an important gateway into Ellesmere Port town centre.”
Greg Milton, managing director of Northern Case Supplies, added: “We are delighted to have acquired this excellent site thus enabling the continued expansion of our busy timber pallet manufacturing and export packing division.”
Agents acting for St Modwen were Legat Owen.
