IT WILL be business as usual while the government decides the fate of support agency Business Link, pledged its North West managing director Peter Watson.
He urged Merseyside’s small and medium-sized companies to continue using its services while ministers decide on the future shape of government business support linked to their commitment to replace regional development agencies with Local Enterprise Partnerships (LEPs) from April 2012.
Mr Watson said until proposals are finalised Preston-based Business Link Northwest will continue to offer support to business owners.
“We know there will be changes to the delivery of government business support and a White Paper will be released in the autumn setting out the coalition’s proposals in more detail.
“Until such plans have been revealed and approved, with a timetable for transition, Business Link will continue to offer support to North West companies.”
