DTZ acts for City Link on purchase of industrial unit in Warrington

ACTING on behalf of City Link, DTZ has advised on the acquisition of a new 67,811 sq ft industrial unit at Appleton Thorn trading estate, in Warrington.Š

City Link, an express delivery company, purchased the former MFI distribution warehouse on Lyncastle Lane as part of a wider rationalisation exercise.

The property, which recently underwent an £800,000 refurbishment, is located close to Junction 20 of the M6.

Other occupiers include G&J Greenall, TDG, Kuehne and Nagel, Currie European Transport, Stobart, Iron Mountain and DPD.

Following this recent acquisition, City Link is seeking to dispose of two of its former units.

These include a 30,517 sq ft warehouse at Speke Approach, Widnes, and a 21,830 sq ft unit at Barleycastle Lane, Appleton Thorn.

DTZ has been appointed to act on these disposals.

Industrial director Tony O’Keefe said: “We are pleased to have concluded this deal and to have been appointed to dispose of its former premises.”
