Liverpool’s Living Room to close for £200,000 refurbishment

The Living Room on Victoria Street, Liverpool

LIVERPOOL’S popular Living Room bar and restaurant will temporarily close from next Monday, while it undergoes a £200,000 refurbishment.

The revamp will retain the “modular” character with different areas for different customer needs and occasions.

Along with the main restaurant and bar at the upper ground floor level, the renovation also includes upgrades of late-night bar, Mosquito, on the lower ground floor and VIP area – the Vampire suite.

Each aspect of the concept is being updated as part of the makeover programme.

The new look will feature influences from the New York and Miami bar scene including metallic, gold and bronze tones with marble and mirror finishes, reminiscent of the art deco period.

The refurbishment follows the acquisition of The Living Room by the Orchid Group at the end of 2009. The Living Room, Mosquito and Vampire will all re-open on Friday, August 20.

Senior general manager, Matthew Bamber, said: “The Living Room is a fantastic brand.”
