NORTH West builder Construction Partnership UK (CPUK) is set to begin work on phase two of a “revolutionary” new care home in Southport.
The West Lancashire- based building firm has successfully completed £5m of health projects in the North West this year, and will be on site this month to complete a centre for excellence for dementia care in the UK.
The firm has handed over phase one of the flagship 60-bed unit in Alexandra Road, in Southport, to Altrincham-based care provider Melton Health Care.
The second phase sees the demolition of the original care home and the construction of a further 25 bedrooms, in addition to the 35 successfully handed over in phase one.
CPUK has managed the work to ensure a smooth transfer of the existing residents over the 80 week £3.5m construction project.
Steve Burke, CPUK managing director, said: “We are currently in discussion with several companies in the care home sector in the North West about more ambitious projects.”
