MULTIMEDIA production company Conker Media has created a new Hollyoaks online spin-off that will introduce three new characters to the main TV series.

Conker, a subsidiary of Hollyoaks producer Lime Pictures, has created Hollyoaks: Freshers for the website of digital TV channel E4.

Freshers will bring together video and social media to allow viewers to follow characters on and off-screen.

Fans will also be able to discover the back stories of three new characters before they join the cast of Hollyoaks itself in September.

Freshers follows the success of Conker’s previous online drama spin-off Hollyoaks: The Morning After The Night Before.

Teen drama Hollyoaks, which will celebrate its 15th anniversary in October, remains one of Channel 4’s most popular programmes, and the broadcaster is working closely with Childwall-based Lime on other spin-offs.

The Hollyoaks Music Show – sponsored by Skelmersdale retailer Matalan – is currently in its second series.

Lime is also producing a new series of post-watershed spin-off Hollyoaks Later.
