O2 Preston Brook 300
UP TO 160 new jobs are being created at a call centre for Tesco Mobile in Runcorn’s Preston Brook.
The mobile phone network will deal with pay-as-you-go and pay-monthly business enquiries at the site, which is located within mobile operator O2’s existing facilities.
Tesco said the Preston Brook operation will complement a sister service centre in Bury which employs 312 staff.
Lance Batchelor, chief executive officer of Tesco Mobile and Tesco Telecoms, said: “Tesco Mobile has created a unique space in the mobile industry as the real champion of great customer service.
“The new customer service centre has been launched to help the network grow while delivering the same high standards of service for all our customers.
“We are delighted to open this new customer service centre in Preston Brook, particularly at a time when jobs are most needed within the local community.”
