Nobles Construction wins £1m contract at Arrowe Park Hospital

WIRRAL University Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust has appointed Nobles Construction to carry out refurbishment work at Arrowe Park Hospital.

The Liverpool-based firm secured the £1m contract to strip out its paediatric ward 11 and complete the new service installations and finishes.

Work at Arrowe Park will be complete in February, 2011, and will provide more patient privacy and improve facilities for patients, carers and staff.

Peter Linford, director at Nobles Construction, said: “The Arrowe Park contract follows work we completed for Wirral University Teaching Hospital in 2009, and it’s this ability to win repeat work from existing clients that allows us to maintain growth.

“We’ve had a great first quarter and, as we enter the second quarter of our financial year, turnover is up 5% on this time last year.”

Tony O’Brien, project manager at Arrowe Park, said: “It’s important that we maintain the hospital’s development and ongoing improvement works help us to do this.

“Nobles has a great deal of experience in the health sector.”

Nobles is currently working on 16 schemes in the region, including the Baltic Triangle, in Liverpool.
