A WIRRAL firm which supplies specialist equipment to the maritime and offshore industries has secured £850,000 working capital facility from RBS Invoice Finance and NatWest.
Bromborough-based Merseyside Ship Stores (MSS) will use the funding to support its organic growth plans.
The company recently opened a depot in Aberdeen and has seen its turnover increase by 20% during the last financial year to break the £5m barrier.
Established in 2002, MSS is a ships chandler – a specialist retailer for the global shipping industries.
The company sources a considerable range of products from frozen foods from specific countries to deck and engine consumables, safety equipment and nautical charts.
MSS supplies all of the UK’s ports from its head office in Bromborough and depots around the UK.
Finance director Ricki Grigor said: “It is important to have sufficient working capital in place to support these plans and this new facility is a good solution.”
