THE pilot phase of a scheme to create a business hub in Liverpool’s Baltic Triangle is complete.
Around 9,000 sq ft of space across three units is now being offered to small businesses in the city region – with the focus being on the creative sector.
Just 12 months after announcing the creation of Baltic Creative Community Interest Company (CIC) to own and manage the hub, the first refurbished buildings are available to occupy.
The scheme has received funding from the Northwest Development Agency and European Regional Development Fund.
The pilot phase, which began in May this year, includes the creation of new mezzanine studios and managed work space studios and offices, which have a centre manager based on-site providing landlord and business support.
The CIC Board is planning to bring forward a further phase which will refurbish the remaining properties to provide a variety of large and small spaces according to tenant demand.
