LOOK out Lord Sugar, the search for an ‘Apprentice’ just got tougher.
Parr Street Studios was the first to sign up to Liverpool Chamber of Commerce’s Apprenticeship Pledge, calling on firms to consider taking on more young talent.
And today studio co-owner Gary Millar launched the Parr Street Apprentice which invites young entrepreneurs to compete for a guaranteed contract to develop the studios’ exclusive boutique hotel.
Mr Millar said: “We expect hundreds of applications from which a shortlist of six to eight will spend four days staying at the hotel and go through a series of competitions exploring their creativity, innovation and passion.
“The winner will be given at least a one-year contract and undergo NVQ training in five-star customer care.”
Liverpool International Coaching Academy, founded by John Haynes, will also provide lessons in accelerated learning and an Institution of Leadership and Management certificate.
