NatWest appoints new managing director for the North

NATWEST has announced the appointment of Tony Brown as its managing director of retail banking across the north of England.

In his role, Mr Brown assumes responsibility for all of NatWest’s retail and personal banking operations in the North.

This involves the management of more than 3,000 staff and 380 branches.

He was previously director of strategy and transformation for the Royal Bank of Scotland’s retail division.

He brings 26 years banking and financial services experience to the role, the majority of which has been in senior management positions with Prudential, HBoS and RBS.

Mr Brown is originally from York and lives in Selby, North Yorkshire, with his wife and two grown-up children.

He said: “I am delighted to be given the opportunity to lead NatWest’s retail banking operations in the North.”
