A KNOWSLEY social enterprise, which has grown over the last few years to become one of the region’s largest community transport operators, has just acquired its 30th vehicle.
Kirkby-based Your Travel Borough Wide was set up by Knowsley Development Trust in 2004 to meet the transport needs of community groups who were unable to afford the private-sector alternative.
Starting out with just six minibuses, the company’s fleet has expanded to include 10 coaches.
Knowsley Development Trust chief executive, Steve Dumbell, believes the most notable thing is that all this has been achieved without any grant support.
