BIRKENHEAD affordable housing specialist Lovell has scored a hit with young Dingle footballers.
The builder donated £300 towards new kit and equipment for 468 Football Club, which runs two five-a-side football teams in the Liverpool Street Games Futsal League.
Players aged between nine and 13 years of age play for the club, which is run by the St Cleopas 468 Centre, in Mill Road, and managed by centre youth worker Kevin Regan.
Lovell is working on a major housing improvement scheme for housing association Liverpool Mutual Homes, and site manager George Shaw said: “We’ve built up an excellent relationship with the 468 Centre while we’ve been working in Dingle and when Kevin Regan asked if we would be interested in sponsoring the club, we were only too pleased to help.”
Kevin Regan added: “We’re really grateful to Lovell for the support they’ve given us, although, as a proud Evertonian, seeing the lads playing in red is taking some getting used to.”
