SUPPORT agency Business Link Northwest received 1,215 telephone inquiries from people interested in starting their own business last month, slightly more than the same 2009 period.
The organisation faces closure by the Coalition Government, but regional managing director Donna Edwards says the level of inquiries prove that it is still “very much open for business”.
Since last April, the Preston-based operation, which covers Merseyside, has handled 15,522 enquiries from potential business start-ups and delivered support to 2,326 existing businesses.
