BUSINESSES have rallied around to support a cabaret event being staged for some of the most vulnerable people in Liverpool.

The Community Safety Cabaret is being organised by the Liverpool Community Crime Fighter Network, at the Green Room, in Duke Street, on February 14.

During the afternoon, 150 of the most vulnerable residents from across the city will come together to be entertained by comedians Sean Styles and Tony Barton and 60s swing singer, Tom Spencer.

There will also be a free prize draw offering prizes donated by businesses.

Firms supporting the event include Amber films, Asda, Green Room, Herbert of Liverpool, Morrison Facility Services and the Toxteth Tigers.

The Community Crime Fighter programme is an initiative by Citysafe, Liverpool’s community safety partnership, designed to “harness the energy” of people who are prepared Što take an active role in tackling crime and anti-social behaviour.

The cabaret event is supported by agencies including Age UK, Liverpool City, Council, Citysafe, Merseyside Police, Merseytravel, Victim Support and Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service
