Seminars for musical entrepreneurs

MUSICIANS and producers who want to get their music onto film soundtracks have been invited to a seminar on Monday.

It is the latest in a series of events organised by creative industries support body Merseyside ACME to help promote the region’s music businesses.

Lynden Campbell, head of synchronisation at independent record label, Domino, is holding a workshop at Liverpool Vision’s Old Hall Street headquarters to demonstrate the process of syncing music to film.

Domino signings include The Arctic Monkeys, Franz Ferdinand and Tricky.

ACME’s previous seminar hosts included chart-topping grime music collective Roll Deep and Liverpool DJ Andy Mac.

ACME director Kevin McManus said: “Our seminars are designed to give Liverpool’s aspiring performers a better understanding of how the industry works.”
