THE Mersey Partnership (TMP) is to hold a series of events to raise the profile of the Liverpool city region’s knowledge economy.
The Made in Liverpool City Region awareness campaign will trumpet the expertise of firms in science and technology, advanced manufacturing, life sciences, creative and digital industries and the professional and financial services sector.
The campaign will involve PR and marketing activity and be supported by a series of events in Liverpool and London to raise the profile of Merseyside’s knowledge businesses.
The target audience will include potential investors, business leaders and influencers as well as Government officials.
The first of these events will be a dinner at Liverpool Cathedral on March 22 with guest of honour, Dr Ralf Speth, chief executive of Jaguar Land Rover.
TMP chief executive, Lorraine Rogers, said: “We have a story to tell that will capture the interest of potential investors. Some of the success stories have been achieved by global brands such as Jaguar Land Rover, Novartis, Unilever and Sony.
“But there are many highly innovative and successful small businesses in the city region.”
