LIVERPOOL brewer Cains has succeeded in winning a national listing with supermarket chain Morrisons for its premium lager.

The Stanhope Street business will now supply its bottled Cains Export Lager to Morrisons’ network, joining its Cains Raisin beer, the UK’s first ale brewed with raisins, on the shelves.

Cains joint managing director Sudarghara Dusanj said the forthcoming Royal Wedding could provide the perfect opportunity for customers around the country to become acquainted with the first premium lager to be brewed in Britain.

MrDusanj said: “Our new relationship with Morrisons is obviously a significant achievement for us and getting a nationwide listing like this means thousands more customers will get the chance to sample our Export Lager.

“Our premium British lager has always been one of our most popular products.

“With the Royal Wedding coming up shortly, it’s great news that Brits can now easily pick up some Cains lager from their local supermarket to make sure their celebrations go with a swing.”
