Jaguar signs partnership deal with The Jockey Club

THE Jockey Club has signed luxury car maker Jaguar as its first official partner on a one-year deal.

It will allow Jaguar to showcase its range of cars and provide VIP transport at prestigious Jockey Club meetings at Liverpool’s Aintree racecourse, the Epsom Downs and Newmarket.

The Jockey Club is the biggest commercial group in British horseracing.

Jaguar Land Rover employs more than 3,000 staff at its Halewood manufacturing plant which currently makes the Freelander 2 and is preparing to launch the new Range Rover Evoque model this July.

Jockey Club chief executive Simon Bazalgette said: “Today we are embracing a new level of partnership which we believe will prove attractive to UK and international organisations.”

Jaguar UK managing director Geoff Cousins added: “This initial one-year deal sits within an overall sports strategy to encourage reappraisal of Jaguar by new customer groups.”
