THE organisers of “geek culture” event Ignite Liverpool are hunting for sponsors.
The regular event sees a selection of speakers give five- minute presentations on their passions. Previous subjects have included the glories of Hull and an analysis of why Batman’s enemies can never defeat the caped crusader.
The event is organised by a group of people from Liverpool’s digital sector. A spokesman said: “Being an Ignite speaker is like being a rock star for five minutes, and we want to give everyone that opportunity.
“Ignite Liverpool is a grassroots organisation – no one takes a payment for the work that they do, but we still need to pay to hire venues or other expenses.
“There are a variety of ways that you could sponsor Ignite Liverpool, be that in a small way or in a large way.”
