Google boosts CALM campaign

CALM, Merseyside’s men’s wellbeing campaign, has had its online presence increased thanks to the Google Grants Programme.

The programme offers not-for-profit organisations a monthly allowance of pay-per- click advertising campaign on specially designated sponsored results and ad words.

CALM has been awarded £6,150 per month under the Google Grants Programme and has also secured partner the Eword, based in Manchester, who are running the Adword account at no cost.

Together, they have developed a campaign which targets potentially suicidal young men who are searching Google for information.

CALM will appear at the top of their search engine list.

Simon Howes, CALM development coordinator, said: “We are thrilled to have been awarded this grant from Google, and how it has allowed us to massively increase our presence on Google with the support of theEword.”
