WIRRAL property auction house Smith and Sons has made a video podcast offering a beginner’s guide to auctions.
The film, available on the firm’s website, takes first-time property auction buyers and sellers through the entire process.
The podcast begins with an inspection of a typical auction property, explaining how it is valued, catalogued and marketed to achieve wide coverage and exposure to potential buyers.
This is followed by a day at the auction, detailing how to bid, what is needed on the day and how to complete a sale. Following one property though the auction process, viewers can see exactly how a property is managed during the lead up to auction, the day itself and the period to completion.
Chris Johnson, auctioneer at Smith and Sons, said: “Buyers and sellers are unsure what to expect and so we felt that it would be helpful to show the entire process in a short film.”
