FERRY operator Stena Line is bringing an Irish feel to this year’s Liverpool Food and Drink Festival.
Stena is the official travel partner of the event which is taking place in September.
It will this year include a complement of traditional Irish bands as well as a bevy of Irish dishes.
Michael McGrath, Stena Line’s area director for the Irish Sea, said: “We are delighted to be official travel partner of the 2011 Liverpool Food and Drink Festival.
“With our recent acquisition of the Liverpool (Birkenhead) to Belfast shipping route, we are keen to build our presence and identity within Liverpool.”
The Peacock Bar in Seel Street, the official music sponsor, will be converting part of Sefton Park into the bustling Cuban streets of Havana, with entertainment from Latin musicians and traditional Cuban Mojito cocktails.
The festival will be held on the weekend of September 3 and 4 and visitors can enjoy live music and samples of foods from around the world.
