HEALTHCARE property group, Assura, has started the construction of a new GP surgery on Broadway, Wallasey.
The project will see the St Hilary Brow group practice relocate from its existing premises in a former residential and retail unit on Wallasey Road.
The new two-storey facility will enable the practice to provide a range of new patient services, including a minor surgery suite, in a modern environment.
Dr James Kingsland, lead GP at St Hilary Brow group practice, said: “The practice team are hugely excited that the project has begun, and that we will soon see the foundation stones of our new surgery being laid.”
Cheshire-based Pochin Construction is the appointed contractor for the development, and completion is expected in the summer of 2012.
