Entertainment giant Sony is reported to be losing interest is buying the parent company of Liverpool-based Lime Pictures.
All3Media was put up for sale in April by its owner – private equity outfit Permira.
Sony was mooted as a potential bidder but is now thought to be reluctant to pay more than £700m with Permira hoping for around £750m, according to a national newspaper report.
Lime Pictures, formerly Mersey TV, produces hit shows including teen soap Hollyoaks and the Only Way is Essex.
