Cybertill system installed by national golf equipment retailer

KNOWSLEY retail payment expert Cybertill has installed a new system for a national golf equipment chain.

Huddersfield-based Direct Golf UK was set up by PGA professional John Andrew 20 years ago and now trades from 17 stores nationwide, as well as e-commerce and mail order platforms.

The Cybertill system is “cloud-based” which delivers shared resources such as software and information to computers and other devices as a utility, similar to the electricity grid, over a network.

Neil Bell, Direct Golf UK managing director, said the company needed a “true multi- channel solution” to help manage all its sales channels.

He added: “The appeal of Cybertill is that it is web-based, so everything is ‘real time’.

“Cybertill will help all sales teams access live stock levels across the estate, meaning that no sales opportunity is missed and customers always get the products they need.

“Another advantage of installing a web- based system is that we can quickly deploy it across all stores and we are able to keep the current EPoS (electronic point of sale) hardware, which minimises any disruption in store.”

Cybertill chief executive Ian Tomlinson said the implementation of the system will help Direct Golf UK maintain their high standards.
