INWARD investment agency The Mersey Partnership (TMP) has signed up a group of new corporate members – including some of the region’s best-known businesses.
TMP now has more than 500 corporate members, who pledge to share their expertise to help promote economic growth in the region.
The latest companies to sign up include shipbuilder Cammell Laird, developer Peel Land and Property, and consumer goods giant Unilever.
Other new members to have joined include Dairy Crest, accountancy firms KPMG and Mazars, law firm DWF and the Royal Institute of British Architects.
TMP chief executive Lorraine Rogers said: “It is encouraging that prestigious new members are joining TMP and demonstrating their commitment to boost the city region’s economy.
“It’s significant that such a diverse range of businesses support our focus on the four key growth sectors – low carbon, knowledge economy, the visitor economy and the superport.”
New member Solen Energy UK recently moved to Liverpool with support from TMP.
Its managing director, Frank Schulmann, said: “We are working closely with TMP to put Liverpool and the north of England at the forefront of the solar industry.”
