Google’s breakfast session in Liverpool

GOOGLE’S “developer advocate”, in Liverpool, is speaking at a breakfast event on Monday morning to introduce himself to the city’s software developers.

Paul Kinlan has set up shop at Liverpool’s new shared workspace, DoES Liverpool, in a bid to work more closely with the city’s community of technology entrepreneurs.

Monday’s event, which runs from 8am at the Hanover Street venue, has been organised by Liverpool John Moores University’s Open Labs programme.

Announcing his arrival in Liverpool last month, Mr Kinlan said: “We’re looking to go where the developers are, and this will give us the chance to start working more closely with developers and businesses in the north of England.”

Google is also running a three-month programme in Liverpool to help small firms get online.
