Warrington engineering firm reporting signs of economic life

A WARRINGTON engineering company believes that the first indications of an economic recovery are evident, based on its record monthly sales figures.

Taylor Business Park-based Croft Engineering Services revealed that it had achieved its best monthly revenues of its 25-year history during August, with sales running 75% higher than an average month.

It said contracts were secured across a diverse range of sectors, which included food, chemical, power generation, oil and gas, construction, aerospace, rail, engineering, environmental and also in the glamorous world of Formula 1 motor racing.

It also revealed that, of its record increase in sales, 75% originated from UK-based companies.

Director Neil Burns said: “Our reputation as one of the most reliable and efficient manufacturers of quality filter products is growing throughout a wider and more diverse range of companies.

“That so much of our increased business has come from within the UK is very encouraging.

“Companies are investing in UK manufacturers.”
