LIVERPOOL is vying with Manchester, Nottingham and Lothian in the UK Bus Awards to be held in London on November 29.
Arriva Merseyside, which employs about 2,000 staff, has reached the final four in the “Top City Operator” category of the awards.
The company operates 635 vehicles out of six garages covering Liverpool, Knowsley, Wirral, Sefton and St Helens, delivering more than 54m passenger journeys a year.
Arriva Merseyside managing director Howard Farrall said: “It is testament to the hard work of all our staff we have made it this far, and I believe the commitment and passion of Arriva employees will prove the difference.”
