Hit Search expands at Innovation Park

DIGITAL agency Hit Search has moved to a bigger office at Liverpool Innovation Park (LIP) to give it more space to grow.

Hit Search, which specialises in search engine marketing, has moved from Baird House to a 2,237 sq ft office in the park’s newly opened Maxwell House Business Centre.

Hit Search, founded in 2007 by Andy Redfern and Andy Donaldson, now employs 16 people. Mr Redfern said: “As a start up, we were looking for somewhere to offer us flexibility in terms of contract length and also an environment which compliments what we do.

“Being at the Innovation Park meant we were surrounded by a number of other forward-thinking companies in the digital sector who we could work with and share valuable leads and contacts.”

Dr Mark Tock, innovation manager at LIP, said: “Andy and the team at Hit Search were able to complete negotiations, undertake significant customisation of the premises and move into the new premises within four weeks.

“This is just one example where we support our clients from the early stages to enable hassle-free growth so they can get on with running their business.”

LIP covers 100 acres around Edge Lane, including Wavertree Technology Park and the former HQ of Marconi and Merseyside Transport. Around 70% of the occupiers come from the digital and creative sectors.

It is operated by Space North West – a joint venture between the Northwest Development Agency and the Ashtenne Industrial Fund (AIF).

On Tuesday, LIP hosted the launch event for the Go On It’s Liverpool campaign to get more people online. Martha Lane Fox, the Government’s digital champion, opened a UK Online centre in the reception area.

Dr Tock said: “Closing the digital divide by getting more people on-line is an important way to ensure potential customers have equal ability to access our clients’ products & services online.”
