The Jam Works changes hands in £1.9m deal

A MIXED-USE development in Liverpool city centre has changed hands in a deal worth £1.9m.

Sutton Kersh Commercial has secured the sale of The Jam Works, in Fleet Street. The identities of the vendor and buyer have not been revealed.

The six-storey residential apartment block comprises 25 apartments on the upper five floors and two commercial units with potential for car parking on the ground and basement floors.

Fleet Street adjoins Hanover Street.

Jonathan Owen, director of commercial agency at Sutton Kersh, said: “The building is in an area that is popular with both students and young professionals, and ideally located to benefit from the current high levels of demand for rental property in the city centre.

“The commercial property sector continues to be heavily restricted by the lack of mainstream lending.

“Despite these factors, there is strong demand from purchasers for particular property types.”
