SKELMERSDALE-BASED builder Construction Partnership UK (CPUK) has won a £1.4m contract for a new arts, graphics and design facility at the University of Central Lancashire, in Preston.
The 39-week project also includes landscaping, external works and the construction of a new plant room.
It is the third major contract the firm has landed in the education and healthcare sectors in the past six weeks, totalling £3.3m and with more in the pipeline.
Previous contracts include Edge Hill University, near Ormskirk, and Reaseheath College, in Cheshire.
It is currently working on developments for healthcare practice Bupa, in Alderley Edge, and for MedicX, a major UK developer and investor of purpose-built primary care premises, in Rochdale.
CPUK managing director Steve Burke said: “We are pleased to have been chosen by one of the top modern universities in the country to play a key role in the continuing development of its campus and its facilities for students.
“Our expertise in the education and healthcare sectors in the North West has grown over the past few years, and we have been involved in a number of high-profile projects across the region.
“CPUK’s recent successes in these sectors, and the fact we are being chosen by such leading names, emphasises our reputation for delivering high-quality work on time and to budget.”
The firm was founded in 2000 and has carried out work for developers such as Peel Holdings, Redrow and Métier Property.
