Chris Fry replaces Ian Goalen as head of KPMG in Liverpool

CHRIS FRY will this week take up his post as head of the Liverpool office of accountancy firm KPMG.

Mr Fry replaces long-term senior partner, Ian Goalen, who will retire in March after 33 years with the firm. Mr Fry joins from KPMG’s Manchester office. He has more than 25 years’ experience advising on corporate tax issues, joining the firm as a senior manager in 1997.

He has been a tax partner at KPMG for more than 10 years, specialising in corporate, property, mergers and acquisitions and restructuring.

Jonathan Hurst, head of KPMG for the North, said: “Chris has played a central role in expanding our North West tax practice and developing our property and construction sector team in the region.

“He has excellent pedigree as an advisor and a leader, and is well placed to build on Ian’s outstanding track record.

“Ian has shown outstanding commitment and skill throughout his career with the firm. I’d like to thank him on behalf of everyone at KPMG.”
