Alpha Biolaboratories invests £75,000 in testing service

LEADING DNA paternity and drug testing specialist, Alpha Biolaboratories, has invested £75,000 to provide an in-house hair alcohol testing service at its Warrington base, after securing funding from Lombard, the asset finance arm of NatWest.

The company has purchased a TSQ Quantum testing machine, a piece of kit which is used to provide hair alcohol tests.

Alpha already offers this service through an outsourced provider.

Managing director Dave Thomas said: “By bringing this service in-house, we can provider a quicker response to our clients and are confident of further growth in this field.”

Lombard’s Alex Bodie said the firm was a “sound investment”.
