WARRINGTON North MP Helen Jones has backed a Risley company to put British manufacturing on the map.

Made By Britain is a national drive to highlight the best of the UK’s design, production and innovation.

Launched last year, it asks all 650 MPs to nominate one manufacturing company from their constituency to help form a virtual map of manufacturing in Britain today.

Ms Jones visited Croft Engineering Services and spoke to its skilled engineers to find out more about the firm which has been producing bespoke filters for 25 years and employs 22 staff.

She said: “I was proud to nominate Croft Engineering Services for inclusion on the Made By Britain Map, to recognise their innovation and commitment to providing career opportunities in the Warrington area.

“It’s essential that we speak up for British manufacturing to show that companies like Croft are at the forefront of their field.”
