ELEVEN finalists in Liverpool’s Great Enterprise Challenge schools competition have been revealed after the semi-finals between 22 schools hosted at private wealth manager Rathbone Brothers’ offices.
Each finalist has been awarded a further £500 towards their business project and will receive expert mentoring before delivering their pitch during next month’s Global Entrepreneurship Congress.
Liverpool councillor Gary Millar created the challenge and said: “This competition really has showcased some innovative ideas from schools across the city. It was so difficult to separate the semi-finalists that the judges put through an extra one.”
Primary school finalists are Anfield Infants, Dovedale Juniors, Hunts Cross Primary, King David Primary, Rice Lane Infant and Nursery and Sacred Heart Primary who will be joined by secondary schools Alsop, Archbishop Blanch, Cardinal Heenan Catholic High, Parklands and Saint Francis Xavier.
