CAR maker Renault is targeting green businesses with an electric van.
The Kangoo Van ZE has already scooped the International Van of the Year 2012 title and What Van? Magazine’s top prize.
Now, Renault Liverpool, on Sefton Street, is one of 21 dealerships which has invested in training three staff – sales manager Nick Price, fleet sales specialist Andrew Morris and sales executive Paul Sheridan – to deal with customer queries, and installed charging points for the vehicles.
Mr Price said: “Everything has really started to take off now and we have been dealing with a great deal of enquiries about the Kangoo Van ZE, which we are thrilled to have launched here.
“Andrew, Paul and I are on hand to answer questions from customers and help advise anyone interested in buying one of the new vans.”
He added that the kind of details the three-strong team could help customers with would probably include questions over the vehicle’s all-important battery, such as guarantees and replacement procedures.
“The Kangoo Van ZE is very much a vehicle to appeal to businesses, and I think we will find different types of customer are attracted to different cars in the Renault electric vehicle range.”
