Software firm Certero strengthens position in health market

WARRINGTON software specialist Certero says it is now the biggest PC Power Management supplier to the NHS following a clutch of new contract wins.

The firm, which opened an office in Sydney in 2011, helps organisations to slash energy bills and reduce CO2 emissions.

Since January Certero has signed deals to supply its products and services to more than 12 NHS organisations.

Contracts have been secured with Guy’ and St Thomas NHS Foundation Trust in London and Aintree Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust in Liverpool.

Certero managing director John Lunt said: “These deals will see our PC Power Management product, PowerStudio, being put into action at NHS organisations across the country.

“This product is designed to help organisations save energy, reduce CO2 and slash electricity bills for PCs, laptops and other IT hardware.

“Crucially, it offers a payback period in the region of four to six months.”

Mr Lunt said PCs make up 40% of organisations’ IT energy consumption.
