HE Simm celebrates £13m of contract wins

THE student housing division of Liverpool engineering services firm HE Simm has won four new contracts worth £13m.

In London, the firm has been engaged to work for Liverpool-based Downing Construction on a 184-studio room development from next month.

Ocon Construction has appointed the firm on its Crown Place student accommodation development for the University of Liverpool providing 1,259 bedrooms.

Cheshire-based Pochin Construction has involved HE Simm in the re-modelling of its 311-room Leodis 3 student accommodation in Leeds, while the fourth contract involves a 112-bed scheme by Multibuild in Oxford.

Managing director Gareth Simm said the contracts confirm the firm’s position as one of the UK’s leading engineering services providers.

He said: “Our commitment to deliver on time, on budget and beyond expectation means we have built very successful partnerships with major national contractors and developers across the UK.

“This, together with our reputation for outstanding and innovative health and safety practice, means we enjoy a near 100% ratio of repeat business.”

He said the schemes in London and Oxford are a welcome opportunity to further strengthen their relationship with Downing and Multibuild.

“The Leeds scheme gives us a welcome opportunity to begin what I am confident will be a successful and enduring relationship with Pochin Construction and will enhance our portfolio in the Leeds area.”
