City businesses back United Futures youth engagement campaign

A CLUTCH of city businesses will meet youth programmes from across the North West next Wednesday in a bid to increase business engagement with the youth sector.

Builder Carillion, Crowne Plaza Hotels, Jaguar Land Rover, John Lewis, Marks & Spencer and Merseyrail will take part in the networking event at Liverpool One’s Starbucks on Paradise Street from 8.30-10.30am as part of the United Futures campaign.

Kelly Pipe, a Royal Mail secondee working for charity Business in the Community in Liverpool, said: “My role involves promoting the positive impact that business expertise can have at a community level. I urge employers to seek opportunities to support local young people by getting involved with youth clubs and projects.”
