WEIGHTMANS, the Liverpool law firm, said it has exceeded its half year billing target, hitting £38.3m.
Managing partner Patrick Gaul said: “It has been a very encouraging six months.
“It is particularly pleasing to see our commercial business line exceed its target for the second quarter running, and within that figure there was a great performance from construction which has been very busy and working hard.”
He added: “Insurance delivered another very encouraging performance against half year target, while public sector also performed well.”
Weightmans, which is based in Old Hall Street’s Plaza Building, is undergoing a period of expansion.
The firm recorded turnover of £77.1m for the 2011/2012 financial year, an increase of £19.1m on the previous year’s result of £58m.
Mr Gaul said: “A lot of the work we have done over the last 18 months is showing some very positive results now.”
