The inaugural Liverpool Post Leadership Awards, in association with the University of Liverpool Management School, take place before an invited VIP audience at the Museum of Liverpool.
Tonight's event marks the culmination of a major Liverpool Post project to identify the key leaders who play a pivotal role in all our lives across the Liverpool city region. Our readers nominated outstanding leaders across a dozen categories, from business to culture, politics to sport.
We published a list of 250 leaders across these sectors in a special Liverpool Post magazine last month (read it here), and from that list, a panel of judges has selected the winners.
Judges included broadcaster and journalist Peter Sissons, Channel 4 founder Sir Jeremy Isaacs, Liverpool One project director Rod Holmes, head of the University of Liverpool Management School Murray Dalziel, and the university's Director of Partnerships and Innovation John Flamson.
