SANTANDER UK chief executive Ana Botín delivered a lecture to University of Liverpool students yesterday on the importance of enterprise.
Her visit was part of Santander’s Breakthrough programme that works with UK universities, including Liverpool, to encourage enterprise.
This year, Santander provided £68,666 towards post and under-graduate scholarships and mobility awards for Liverpool.
It is also funding eight paid internships with small firms in Liverpool to encourage enterprise among recent graduates and final-year students at the university and to promote the value of working with a small firm, as well as providing small businesses with young talent.
SEE next week’s Liverpool Post for a full interview with Ms Botín.
